Controversial activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has sparked fresh conversations online after making bold remarks about pastors and churches in Nigeria.

In a video that has been widely shared on social media, “Most of Them Failed in Life”:

Omoyele Sowore Blasts Pastorsclaimed that many people who end up becoming pastors often do so because they were unable to succeed in other careers.

According to him, some church leaders either “failed in school” or chose not to pursue what he described as serious work, opting instead to establish churches.

Sowore also narrated an encounter he once had with a pastor.

He said he advised the cleric to convert his church building into a hospital for just one year.

“I told him, if you turn this church into a hospital for one year, you will see how many lives you will save,” Sowore said.

However, the activist noted that his suggestion angered the pastor, who has reportedly kept his distance from him ever since.

He went further to accuse some churches of functioning as “collection points” that target vulnerable people, alleging that certain pastors manipulate followers using what he called false teachings.

Despite the criticism his comments might generate, Sowore maintained his stance.

His statements have since stirred mixed reactions across social media, with some people applauding his boldness while others criticized him for speaking against religious leaders.

" Most of the people who are pastors today are people who couldn't make it in real life.
