Canada whips Sweden 7-0 to strike gold in U-18 men’s world hockey championship, ending a four-year title drought with a commanding victory.

The Canadian hockey team blew past their Swedish opponents 7-0 to seize the 2025 IIHF U-18 Men’s World Hockey Championship title after a two-year drought since their last victory in 2021.

Canada won the final match at Frisco Texas where their offense dominated and defense prevented any scoring to achieve a shutout victory.

Jack Ivankovic established himself as the key player in Canada’s victory by blocking 29 shots to achieve a shutout victory.

The tournament marked the peak of Ivankovic’s performance since his reliable goaltending secured him praise from both teammates and coaches.

Offensively, Canada was relentless. The team gained an initial advantage before players from different positions made additional scoring moves to maintain their dominance.

The unified teamwork and tactical plays from Canada destroyed Swedish gameplay because their opponents failed to create substantial offensive opportunities.
