On June 20, 2025, the US singer Chris Brown appeared at the Southwark Crown Court in London to plead not guilty.

He is charged with trying to cause grievous bodily harm with intent after an alleged bottle attack at Tape nightclub in London, Mayfair- reported February 2023

R&B singer R. Kelly, 36, who was charged together with rapper Omololu “Hoody Baby” Akinlolu, pleaded guilty, appearing briefly in court.

The two were charged with an unprovoked attack on producer Abe Diaw, using a bottle of tequila, punches and kicks.

The event is reported to have been recorded in surveillance video in a nightclub

Brown was bailed at the amount of 5 million pounds and will be back on July 11, with a potential trial date in October 2026.

He has legal baggage but still stayed on stage – he is continuing his Breezy Bowl XX tour which started in Amsterdam on June 8 and is going to Cardiff

Brown is not new to legal problems, especially the 2009 attack on Rihanna and other previous fights.

With this emerging case, everyone will be watching on how it will affect his tour and reputation.
