Berraf explained that ANOCA implements multiple initiatives which work to change African sports across the continent.

  • ANOCA enhances athlete support by pledging to double the scholarship budget which will benefit Nigerian athletes before the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. The organization created this initiative to supply athletes with needed resources which will help them succeed globally. Mallam Shehu Dikko expressed his support as President of the Nigerian National Sports Commission because this development matches government policies to revitalize sports through sustainable management and development frameworks.
  • ANOCA strengthened its partnership with the Sports International Convention in Africa (CISA) for the purpose of advancing sports development throughout the African continent. The International Sports Convention in Africa will hold its 11th edition in February 2025 at Dakar in Senegal to bring together stakeholders who will tackle present challenges and discover innovative future prospects for African sports. Berraf stressed the significance of these partnership commitments by declaring “The renewal of this partnership demonstrates our commitment to sports development across the African continent.”.
  • ANOCA established a binding agreement with the Angolan government through collaboration with the Angola Olympic Committee to organize the Fourth African Youth Games for December 2025. The event serves two major purposes which are showcasing African youth talents while promoting Olympic values of excellence and inclusion as well as solidarity. The partnership involves the supply of both contemporary infrastructure and convenient access for successful Games organization. The Angolan Youth and Sports Minister Rui Falcão declared that funding has been secured since the nation demonstrated a strong commitment toward enhancing its sports reputation.

Through his call to action, Berraf joins a growing movement which recognizes sports as an economic growth engine to foster African social cohesion.

ANOCA implements investments into infrastructure alongside athlete development programs along with strategic partnerships in order to establish an African environment where the highest levels of athletic performance become possible.

The upcoming African Youth Games and Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games demand enhanced investment and partnership cooperation from the continent. These initiatives work toward improving African sports standards while building inspiration for future athletes in the entire African region.
