Black Sherif’s team angry after a bottle attack at the recent Unifest Concert.
Following the chaotic scenes, the management of the rapper has requested an official apology by the organisers following safety threats.
During the performance of Sherif, bottles were said to have been thrown at the stage causing panic amongst fans.
The management team rebuked the bad security reaction terming it as unacceptable.
They demand that organisers need to be fully accountable and apologise publicly.
In their opinion, there was insufficient crowd control in the venue that put the artist and the audience in danger.
The fans have gone to social media to defend Black Sherif and these are the same people who are demanding improved planning of the events.
Others even proposed that in future they should boycott events organised by the same people.
Sherif has not made a personal statement as yet but the message of his team is clear.
The people attending concerts have a right to safety. Musicians should be respected. And organisers have to be responsible.
This accident has initiated a wider debate on the security of concerts in the entertainment industry in Ghana.
