Jeffrey Nortey says he must fast before performing in church. The actor reveals why it’s non-negotiable and deeply personal.

Jeffrey Nortey has shared a revelation that’s surprising many fans. Before every church performance, the actor says he must fast.

This isn’t a casual habit. Nortey described it as a spiritual requirement. Without fasting, he won’t even step on the altar.

In an interview, the actor explained that ministry through drama is sacred to him. For that reason, he doesn’t take it lightly.

“To perform on the altar, I have to be in a spiritually sound state. That means fasting and prayer,” he said.

He believes that anything done in church, including acting, must be grounded in faith and reverence. Otherwise, it could be offensive to God.

“Even if it’s just a five-minute drama piece, I fast before it. That’s how serious I take it,” he added.

Fans and churchgoers have long admired Nortey’s energy and commitment. Now, they know the depth of the spiritual discipline behind it.

His comments have sparked conversation on social media. Many are praising him for blending faith with entertainment in a meaningful way.

Others say it shows the seriousness Christian creatives should bring to their calling. “We shouldn’t treat church performances like any other gig,” one comment read.

Nortey also encouraged other gospel actors to pray and fast. He believes it brings clarity and strengthens the message they’re meant to deliver.

Jeffrey Nortey continues to earn respect in both mainstream and faith-based acting spaces. His values remain firm, and his platform is growing.

In a world where entertainment often sidelines spirituality, Nortey is boldly doing the opposite, and fans are watching closely.
