Lenovo has unveiled a massive update to chromebook Plus 14 inches.
Google has introduced Gemini AI tools that can be run on the device itself.
This smartens and speeds up the laptop.
The star features include select to search. One can capture text or images on any screen and search immediately.
The new Caps Lock key has been renamed Quick Insert: now one tap can create an AI image.
Another two interesting features:
smart grouping automatically sorts tabs and;
the Gallery app can now be used to edit photos, delete backgrounds, and add stickers.
The new Chromebook Plus 14 by Lenovo does not waste time. It has a MediaTek Kompanio Ultra chip with 50 TOPS.
The OLED screen is of high contrast and 1920×1200 resolution with a touch option as well.
The device is crammed with up to 16 GB RAM, 256 GB storage, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, fingerprint reader, Dolby Atmos sound, and dual-4K monitor capability.
It is all crammed into a 2.58-pound chassis with a 60Wh battery that trumps most of the competition.
And here is the cherry on top: a Chromebook Plus purchased in 2025 will get a free year of Google AI Pro.
That comprises Gemini 2.5 Pro, Veo 3 video generation, and 2 TB cloud storage.
