A Nigerian man has gone viral online after writing to US President Donald Trump amid reports of alleged military threats to Nigeria.

The statement comes following Trump’s claims about attacks on Christians in the country and suggestions that the US may intervene.

Donald Trump reportedly warned of sending US forces to Nigeria, citing unverified claims of targeted killings of Christians.

Despite these assertions, there is no confirmed evidence supporting widespread religious attacks in the country.

Reports indicate that Trump instructed the US Department of War to take steps to address the situation.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu responded decisively to the allegations, dismissing any notion of genocide.

He emphasized that Nigeria is committed to national unity, respect for all religions, and addressing security challenges in a manner that preserves the country’s sovereignty.

In reaction to the controversy, a Nigerian social media user, @Oba_Mayor24, directly addressed Trump on X (formerly Twitter).

He wrote:

“President Donald Trump, please, Nigeria doesn’t have religious problems.

We agree that we have an insecurity problem, but it is not a religious problem.

We don’t need your help. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu can handle our problems. Thank you.”

The post quickly gained traction, sparking waves of discussions on social media.
