During the launch show of Big Brother Naija 10/10 on July 27, 2025, Housemate, Dede (Precious Ashiogwu) made a clear personal statement: when Head of House Jason Jae offered a hug, she declined.

As she shook his hand instead, fellow housemates watched on with surprise and interest.

Jason had greeted Dede with open arms, asking, “Can I give you a hug, please?” To which she responded simply, “No.” The handshake followed, signaling polite but firm boundaries

Dede, who clarified before entering the house that she is in a happy relationship outside the show, has established herself as principled from the onset.

Her refusal reflects both her personal ethics and a strategic stance on intimacy in the house.

Some fans joked that rejecting a hug could be Dede’s secret strategy to go “harder” and stay focused on the game, not alliances.
