In a statement released by the police, they disclosed that on September 3, 2025, two separate accidents occurred, along the Ozalla/4-Corner axis of the highway, resulting in 10 deaths and leaving another 10 persons hospitalised.

The first incident occurred around 9 a.m., involving a Howo truck carrying cement and having the Visco Investment Global brand on it, a Toyota Corolla, a Foton bus, and a Daihatsu Hijet mini bus.

The collision caused the truck’s head and the Corolla to burst into flames, leaving five car passengers dead, with one passenger in the mini bus also died.

On the same day at 3 p.m, the second crash happened when a Sino truck operated by Global Investment rammed into a tricycle, killing all four passengers on board, Although the Police can confirm that several survivors from both accidents remain in critical condition at the hospital.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, described the incidents as avoidable, he also ordered a full investigation, and told drivers to be more careful, particularly during the Ember Months.

Dangote Industries released a statement after several reports had linked the truck to its operations, clarifying that the vehicle in question was not part of its fleet.

“Investigations have revealed that the truck belongs to Visco Investment Global Limited,” the Group said, stating that it was working with authorities to determine how the vehicle came to bear its logo without authorisation.

Dangote further expressed concern over what it termed “the growing trend of misinformation” associating its brand with fatal incidents.

The company pledged to strengthen safeguards against misuse of its identity and reaffirmed its commitment to safety, integrity, and corporate responsibility.
