Peter Obi has come under fresh fire as Reno Omokri, former presidential aide and social commentator, accused him of being both a hypocrite and a plagiarist.

In a blistering statement, second of its kind today, Omokri referenced Obi’s recent comments about “unending killings in Nigeria.”

He argued that the former Anambra governor lacked the moral authority to speak on insecurity, citing the controversial Awkuzu SARS killings during Obi’s administration.

Omokri recalled that between 2006 and 2014, reports emerged of security operatives linked to Obi’s government allegedly dumping the bodies of over 800 young men into the Ezu River, a discovery that sparked national outrage.

“Peter, let’s talk about the young men whose lives ended in your tenure, their bodies discarded like waste,” Omokri wrote, citing a Punch report on the case.

Beyond the killings, Omokri leveled an additional charge: plagiarism. According to him, Obi’s latest public statement was “copied almost word-for-word” from a post originally authored by Osita Chidoka, former aviation minister.

Omokri claimed that Chidoka shared the post privately before Obi allegedly reproduced it without attribution.

“Not only are you a hypocrite due to the killings under your watch,” Omokri declared, “you are also a plagiarist.”

The remarks have stirred sharp reactions across Nigeria’s political space. Obi’s supporters argue that the accusations are politically motivated, while critics suggest the claims highlight inconsistencies in his public image.

Omokri, who describes himself as a “TableShaker,” has long positioned himself as one of Obi’s fiercest critics.

Peter Obi Is Not Just a Hypocrite, He Is a Plagiarist

Dear Peter Obi,

Since you are so concerned about "unending killing in the country", let's talk about some of the approximately 800 young men who were killed by your security outfit during your eight-year tenure as Anambra… pic.twitter.com/yk4fdx1AWP
