Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has opened up about public perceptions of his personal life, saying he is often misunderstood.

In an exclusive interview with the Voice of Nigeria, the award-winning singer addressed the long-standing belief that he is a womanizer.

According to him, the label does not accurately reflect who he is.

“The biggest misconception about me is that I’m a womanizer.

I like women; I’m just straightforward. But I’m a lover boy.

I love hard,” he said.

2Baba also spoke candidly about fatherhood, describing it as one of the most emotional and challenging parts of his life.

The singer, who has eight children, said he feels both grateful and saddened when he reflects on the time he has not been able to spend with them due to his demanding career.

“I have eight kids now. I feel blessed and happy, but the sadness comes from the fact that I haven’t gotten to spend the type of time I should have spent with them collectively.

It does something to me sometimes,” he said.

Despite this regret, he praised his children, calling them brilliant and a constant source of joy.

The music icon also addressed public comments about his wife, Natasha, especially claims that she is controlling.

He dismissed such views, describing her instead as a strong and intelligent woman, while noting that public scrutiny can sometimes be hurtful.

2Baba further revealed that away from the spotlight, he is naturally shy and prefers a quiet lifestyle.

He explained that although his profession requires him to be outgoing, he often enjoys spending time alone, relaxing, or being in nature.
