Social media activist VeryDarkMan has responded to a viral video showing a Bolt driver allegedly harassing a female passenger over a fare dispute.
The dispute arose because the driver demanded ₦15,000, even though the Bolt app had already charged the lady ₦12,900 for the trip.
VeryDarkMan’s involvement is expected to increase pressure on the ride-hailing company to address issues of driver conduct and fare inflation.
The controversy centers on the driver’s demand for an extra amount despite the app’s official fare calculation.
According to reports circulating with the viral video, the lady had already been charged ₦12,900 by the Bolt app for her trip.
However, the driver allegedly demanded a total payment of ₦15,000, resulting in a dispute over the ₦2,100 difference.
