“You Kill For Big Thieves In Political Offices Who Oppress, Force You To Buy Motorcycles On Loan” – Sowore Asks Nigerian Policemen To Wake Up

Former presidential candidate and human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, has issued a warning to officers of the Nigeria Police Force, noting that they should “wake up” because they are being exploited by the same political elites they protect.

Sowore, a fierce critic of the Nigerian government and founder of the #RevolutionNow movement, took to social media on Sunday to lament the tragic irony of police officers oppressing citizens while those who give the orders “live in obscene luxury.”

“The people you kill for, the big thieves in political offices who send you to crush protesters, frame activists, and silence citizens they are living in obscene luxury.

Some of them have 50 brand-new cars parked in garages fitted with air-conditioners, marble floors, and imported generators,” Sowore said.

He noted that some government officials boast of “50 brand-new cars parked in garages fitted with air-conditioners, marble floors, and imported generators,” while rank-and-file police officers struggle under degrading conditions.

DSS Arrests Alleged Arms Manufacturer Fuelling Violence In Plateau State

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a suspected major arms supplier, identified as Musa Abubakar, in Plateau State, following a targeted intelligence operation that exposed his alleged role in manufacturing and distributing weapons to armed groups across the region.

Abubakar, long believed to be a crucial part of the shadowy supply chain fueling violence in Plateau and other northern states, was apprehended on November 12, 2025, during a raid carried out in Mista Ali, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.

NTA reports that the arrest followed months of surveillance and credible intelligence gathering, culminating in a swift and covert operation by DSS operatives.

He was arrested during active production, surrounded by raw chemicals, tools, and explosive components.

UK to allow Nigerians, other foreign students switch to innovator founder visa

Under the new rules, students on a valid Study visa can transition to the Innovator Founder route from within the UK, allowing them to begin setting up their businesses while their applications are being processed.

This flexibility removes a major hurdle for foreign students hoping to launch innovative ventures in the country.

The Innovator Founder visa enables international graduates to establish and run an innovative business that is different from existing products or services in the market.

To qualify, applicants must present a viable business idea endorsed by an approved Innovator Founder endorsing body and meet all other eligibility requirements.

PDP Ibadan Convention ‘A political farce, funeral in disguise’ — APC

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed the 2026 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention held on Saturday in Ibadan as a “political farce” and a symbolic funeral for a party it says is trapped in irreversible decline.

In a strongly worded statement issued on Sunday, the Lagos APC Publicity Secretary, Seye Oladejo, said the gathering—widely advertised by the PDP as a rebirth—turned out to be “a poorly scripted show of confusion and desperation,” further confirming the opposition party’s dwindling relevance.

Oladejo described the convention as an embarrassment to Nigeria’s political class, noting that the PDP’s once-formidable influence has evaporated.

According to him, the absence of several key PDP leaders, including serving governors, spoke volumes.

“Their refusal to attend only underscored what Nigerians have long suspected—that the PDP is terminally ill, surviving on media noise and nostalgic illusions. When a house is collapsing, even its architects flee,” he stated.
