Tinubu’s govt secretly planning to sentence Nnamdi Kanu to death or life imprisonment – Sowore alleges

Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has made shocking allegations against President Bola Tinubu’s government over the ongoing trial of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

In a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Sowore claimed that a secret decision had been taken within the government to sentence Kanu either to death or life imprisonment.

According to Sowore, the alleged plan was hatched through a “high-level political conspiracy” and disguised as a judicial process.

He wrote:

“For the avoidance of doubt and to alert the public, it has become clear that a secret decision has long been reached within the @officialABAT regime regarding the fate of Mazi @NnamdiKanu.”

He added:

“The plan, devised through a high-level political conspiracy, is to either sentence him to death or condemn him to life imprisonment.

“I never replied to President Trump over allegations of Christian genocide.

I’ve petitioned the police and the DSS to find the character behind the news,” he stated.

“It’s the presidency that’ll answer President Trump. Who am I to answer President Trump?” he added.

SaharaReporters gathered that the terrorists also vandalised about 11 vehicles during the attack along the Lumma–Babanna road in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.

The attack occurred while the lawmaker was travelling to Babanna town for an official engagement, catching his security team and aides by surprise.

SaharaReporters learnt that the assailants, heavily armed and lying in wait on the road, opened fire between 1pm and 2pm, triggering panic among members of the entourage, including security escorts and political supporters.

Nigeria remains viable investment destination — Lekki Free Zone MD

Despite existing challenges and negative perceptions, Nigeria remains a promising destination for business investment, the Managing Director of the Lekki Free Zone Development Company, Dai Shunfa, has said.

Speaking in Lagos on Tuesday during a visit by journalists, Shunfa addressed concerns about international perceptions of doing business in Nigeria.

“I think the most serious challenge we face in attracting new investment is the prevalence of rumours.

“There is a lot of negative news about Nigeria.

Outside the country, people believe that kidnappings and killings happen here every day.

“Let’s pity Regina Daniels” – Man speaks out on actress’ ordeal, says Ned Nwoko went too far

A Nigerian man has urged the public to show empathy toward Regina Daniels as her marriage to billionaire Senator Ned Nwoko reportedly faces serious challenges.

He insisted it is time Nigerians “pity” the actress and stand by her amid claims of a troubled and allegedly abusive union.

The man, identified on X (formerly Twitter) as @gentl_introvert, called on Nigerians to forgive Regina Daniels for her past mistakes and focus on her current ordeal.

He stated:

“I feel like it’s high time we pity Regina Daniels and at least forgive her for mocking her peers.

Her marriage with Ned Nwoko has truly become a bitter one, and if we don’t do anything, such abusive marriage will continue.

Arresting her family members should be out of line.”

Tension rises in Osun PDP over Wike’s remark about Governor Adeleke

During a national television interview on Monday, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, expressed doubt about the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) readiness for the forthcoming governorship elections in Osun and Ekiti States.

These remarks have since sparked tension within the Osun State chapter of the PDP, as members interpret his comments as a warning about internal instability threatening the party’s future.

His position has also deepened concerns over the lingering leadership crisis within the party, with fears that unresolved divisions could weaken its performance in next year’s polls.

Wike revealed that Governor Adeleke had personally visited him to discuss the situation, during which he warned the governor of the “danger” facing his political future
