Punuka, the law firm representing Sophia Momodu in her custody dispute with Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, has responded to the singer’s recent comments regarding the case.

Davido took to social media to discuss aspects of his custody battle with Momodu over their daughter, Imade Adeleke.

In his posts, he questioned the actions of the lawyer handling the matter and criticized her for allegedly referencing the late son of the singer in the dispute, tagging a handle believed to belong to the child.

A letter from Punuka has since circulated online, in which the firm strongly condemned what it described as attempts to intimidate their staff.

The letter claims that Davido allegedly encouraged online harassment directed at their lawyer, Ebelechukwu Egeonu Enedah, emphasizing that the situation is a legal matter to be resolved in court.

Punuka also affirmed its commitment to protecting its legal team from any form of intimidation and called on the Nigerian Bar Association to speak out against harassment targeting legal practitioners.

Fans of Sophia Momodu have reacted to the update by criticizing Davido’s handling of the situation.

Many highlighted that legal matters should not be influenced by emotions and expressed concern over the reported online harassment directed at Momodu’s lawyer.

Some even suggested that additional legal action should be considered against Davido in light of the alleged online attacks.
