In a statement signed by its Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, on Friday, the agency urged anyone with useful information on the 44-year-old Lagos businessman to come forward.
Ogundele has previously been linked to several financial controversies, while making findings as to him being wanted, we found out that In 2024, Ogundele was arrested and later released by the Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID) in Abuja after a petition by a lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, this petition stated that Ogundele obtained $325,000 from one Kabiru Ibrahim under false pretence as part payment for a $650,000 property at Leonardo by Sujimoto Home.
Another Petition was filed by Henry & Henshaw LP on behalf of their client where the CEO was accused of defrauding their client in an investment scheme, they explained that their client invested N300 million in a real estate project under a one-year Diamond Investment Package with a promised 35% return, totaling N405 million by May 2024.
Ogundele also issued a post-dated cheque and a company guarantee, but when the cheque was presented, it bounced as the company’s account was inactive and fake.
Despite repeated attempts to recover the funds the Developer allegedly evaded contact and only paid N50 million, leaving an outstanding N355 million unpaid, which the petitioners describe as investment fraud and the issuance of a dud cheque.
Also In our findings he allegedly diverted an investor’s N90 million through a failed investment scheme in march where the investor claimed Sujimoto promised a 20% annual return but defaulted on payments. By July 2024, the investment had grown to N120 million, of which only N30 million was repaid.
Scott Iguma, social media influencer also stated in a recent video online here https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLhIWg6tGdi/?igsh=MzhxeGhuZHJwZ2U2 that Ogundele still owes another investor $1.9 million.
