Prominent Nigerian cleric Bishop David Oyedepo has issued a strong declaration during a recent church service, insisting that Nigeria will not be overtaken by extremist ideology despite the surge in violent incidents across the country.

He emphasized the resilience of the Christian community and described the Church in Nigeria as unshakeable, urging members to stand firm amid ongoing threats.

His remarks came in response to a series of recent attacks, including the killing of five worshippers during a church service last week and the abduction of 35 people from a rural community, where kidnappers are reportedly demanding a ransom of ₦100 million.

The cleric condemned the activities of armed groups and invoked curses against those responsible for the violence.

He assured congregants that their prayers would provoke divine intervention and predicted imminent disaster for the perpetrators.

He said …

The church of Christ in Nigeria is indestructible.

The gates of hell cannot prevail against thee. The battle is raging, islamic jihadists are roaring, but we belong to a higher realm of authority.

5 people shot dead in church last week, 35 abductees, and they are demanding a 100 million from a village setting.

Every perpetrator and their sponsors come under a curse today.

When this church prays, God hears. In the camp of the wicked, there shall be catastrophe.

Everyone behind it, within the next seven days, they are smelling, they’re stinking
