Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has revealed a tender and vulnerable side of herself after congratulating her close friend and fashion designer Toju Foyeh on her pregnancy.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Toke shared an image of herself and Toju with their baby bumps gently displayed and wrote:
“I always worried about being the oldest parent in the room and my child not having friends in my circle ’cos everyone’s kid is all grown up. But look at God. Our kids get to grow together… one city at a time.”
This revelation comes in the wake of her own joy-filled announcement of expecting her first child earlier this year, which she described as the “biggest project of my life” and the “highest calling ever.”
Toke made it all nostalgic by sharing a throwback photo taken with Toju in Miami ten years ago during a low point in her life.
She mused how far they’ve come and how they now share the same journey of motherhood.
