Popular comedian Deacon Famous, born Udaya Awesome Chidiebere, has opened up about his long-standing feud with former close friend Ekene Umenwa.

The friendship reportedly ended last year, with both parties unfollowing each other on social media after fans noticed tension during Deacon Famous’ wedding.

In a detailed video that has gone viral online, the comedian shared his perspective, claiming that Umenwa caused disruptions at his wedding through vendors she had recommended.

He also warned that if she denies his claims, he is prepared to release WhatsApp chats to substantiate his side of the story.

Deacon Famous revealed that he had supported Umenwa during her wedding, even helping her gain social media attention, and covered part of her wedding expenses.

While he said he had forgiven her, he wanted to set the record straight after his wife described as “innocent” was drawn into the dispute.

He recounted visiting Umenwa at her home with his then-fiancée, where Umenwa allegedly spoke negatively about someone whose birthday she had celebrated earlier.

Rumors later suggested that Deacon Famous was responsible for the remarks, which he denied.

He confronted Umenwa, and her mother reportedly apologized on her behalf.

Deacon Famous further claimed that he had sent Umenwa a script while she was preparing for her wedding, but she requested to postpone the project until after her ceremony.

Even after her wedding, she allegedly delayed the project multiple times before finally setting a date.

He also shared that he transported 13 people from Lagos to Asaba for the project and booked them in a hotel, but Umenwa failed to show.

Her husband later explained that she had other commitments.

Deacon Famous said his messages and calls went unanswered until she eventually apologized, after which they began planning his own wedding.

He added that after they reconciled, Umenwa offered to recommend vendors for his wedding.

However, these vendors allegedly caused further problems, including a designer who reportedly delayed completing his wife’s wedding dress until the day before the ceremony.
