Paycorp acquires Pilot Software

Paycorp acquired veteran hospitality point-of-sale provider Pilot Software which expanded its position in restaurant technology while allowing Pilot to operate independently.

The South African payments powerhouse Paycorp has made a strategic move by acquiring Pilot Software which provides mature point-of-sale solutions to the hospitality industry. The terms of the acquisition deal are not publicly available since the transaction took place on a private basis.

Under the leadership of Pilot Software for more than 30 years the company delivered a comprehensive restaurant and hospitality business-oriented POS software and hardware solution suite. The hospitality industry relies on Pilot Software technology solutions to modernize their business operations by providing procedural solutions from transaction processing to management functions.

The acquisition shows Paycorp’s plan to develop its technology base through the retention of Pilot Software’s specialized capabilities which led to their success. Pilot Software operates independently under the acquisition terms to serve the hospitality industry by using potential benefits from Paycorp’s operational resources.

The acquisition of Pilot Software by Paycorp follows the emerging business model where payment providers develop their service range past basic payment processing solutions. The headquarters of Paycorp in Sandton enables the company to operate strongly across Southern Africa and Eastern Europe while maintaining a presence in the United Kingdom. The company currently operates through ATM services cash management solutions transaction processing and embedded business funding.

Ordinary visitors can observe the strategic partnership between the two companies through Pilot’s specialized knowledge of hospitality management systems. The company solutions allow organizations to manage their operations more efficiently through features that boost both customer service quality and administrative performance. The system provides essential operational benefits that cater to independent business owners and large franchise networks which need flexible comprehensive operational solutions.
