Ghanian musician Showboy has come out to reveal how he was influenced by peer pressure to destroy his life and get arrested and deported to the U.S.
He said to Adom FM:
“I got to prison in the USA because of my love of friends and peer pressure”
His mother sent him to the U.S to correct his behaviour but Showboy claims that the pressure of the friends was too strong and it dragged him into the world of crime.
This move eventually saw him being jailed and he was not allowed to go back to the U.S. within 10 years.
Showboy considered the missed opportunities because of wrong company.
He cautioned the Ghanaian youths in the diaspora:
You have to put America first before Ghana, otherwise, you will regret it.
” I have learnt that I cannot come here to commit fraud, scam, sell drugs or steal’
Nonetheless, Showboy is optimistic and he advises the youth to avoid being exposed to the wrong company and concentrate on the right way to achieve success.
