Edo State-based political leaders have sparked outrage after celebrating the assault of UK-based social critic Albert Obazee by a Nigerian Man

Obazee, who hails from Edo, was slapped during a livestream by a man with whom he had been involved in a previous online feud.

The attack, which occurred earlier, was captured live on camera, shocking viewers.

Reports indicate the assailant confronted Obazee over past online disagreements, physically slapping him while he addressed his followers.

In a controversial development, some leaders of the Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) pledged N1 million to the man responsible, describing the act as a ‘digital slap’

Social media users have reacted strongly, condemning both the attack and the reported support from APC leaders.

@daLegendarry_: “See what a supposed leader is promoting. Well, he belongs to a party that believes in snatching it and running with it. Violence is the only language they speak and understand.”

@NextBigT99: “Na why Trump call una a disgraced country.”

@evnoni_: “Look at the country, people selling their souls for a morsel of money at the expense of the truth and people’s lives.”

@Jj122009_: “The evil and wickedness this APC party and its people could not do is the one not heard, mentioned, or seen anywhere in the world.”

The incident has reignited debates over political violence and online harassment, with calls for accountability from both Nigerian and UK authorities.
