While both appeared relaxed, observers noted that Gashumba rarely held his wife’s hand or displayed other forms of public affection during the event.

A video circulating online shows the couple walking together without holding hands, prompting social media users to comment on the perceived lack of intimacy.

One user remarked, “Painful to watch ehhh what is Gashumba doing? Hold her hand ffs she’s begging for it”

The incident has sparked discussions on social media about the importance of public displays of affection in relationships, especially during significant public events.
