The Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) pointed out that Artificial Intelligence holds potential benefits for broadcasting innovation yet presents two main risks including false information spread and content tampering.


Director General Susan Ndumingu declared that broadcasting licensees need to implement data protection as they verify the accurate transmission of all news information.

The IBA official demanded broadcasting organizations maintain transparency and accountability and fairness during AI-driven content generation.


The IBA advances its commitment to broadcasting excellence ahead of World Press Freedom Day by issuing a call to action for ethical standards which will benefit the Zambian public.
