Ghana FA investigates Nations FC’s match abandonment due to alleged violence, poor officiating, and security concerns during Ghana Premier League clash.
Ghana FA is at the center of a storm following Nations FC’s dramatic exit from their Ghana Premier League match against Basake Holy Stars.
The match, held on June 1, 2025, at the Ampain AAK II Arena, was abandoned after Nations FC walked off the pitch in protest.
The team cited multiple grievances, including poor officiating, inadequate security, and violent conduct from home supporters
Nations FC’s statement highlighted that their President, Mr. Divine Kyei Boadu, and Chairman, Dr. Kwame Kyei, were physically assaulted by home fans.
They also noted that only 20 police officers were present, despite an agreement for 70, leaving their team and supporters vulnerable .
Further allegations included the denial of entry to their fans holding valid tickets and the prevention of their accredited videographer from recording the match .
In response, the Ghana FA has initiated a thorough investigation into the incident.
They have assured all stakeholders of their commitment to upholding the integrity of the game and promised decisive action against any misconduct
