R. Kelly has had an overdose in the prison which has caused a furor on jail officials.
His lawyers made an emergency appeal claiming that he was administered with an overdose dose of anxiety and sleep medication in solitary confinement.
The 58-year-old American singer, who is on a 30-year prison term on racketeering and sex crimes, collapsed in his cell early on June 13.
He was ferried to Duke University Hospital where doctors found blood clots in his legs and lungs.
The prison staff reportedly took him against medical instructions and placed him back in isolation.
The lawyer of Kelly blames the Bureau of Prisons of threatening his life and depriving him of essential treatment.
They also indicate previous allegations that prison officials and prisoners conspired to kill.
his team is now demanding that he be immediately transferred to home confinement due to deliberate indifference to his health.
The U.S government denies the allegations terming his allegations as manipulative. He is to be tried by a court hearing June 20 to decide his fate.
