President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has rewarded Nigeria’s Super Falcons with national recognition, cash prizes, and housing, following their dramatic victory in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco

At a reception held on July 28, 2025, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Tinubu conferred the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) on all 24 players and the 11‑member technical staff.

Each player received a cash gift equivalent to $100,000, while each technical crew member was awarded $50,000

In addition, the president announced the allocation of brand‑new three‑bedroom apartments for the players in the Renewed Hope Housing Estate, marking the gesture as both symbolic and substantial

Tinubu praised the Falcons’ resilience and unity, hailing their comeback win over Morocco as a national source of pride and inspiration for millions of Nigerians

This reward continues the president’s tradition of honoring national teams following similar gestures made to the Super Eagles after their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations finish .
