A year after the heartbreaking death of Nigerian entertainment icon Onyeka Onwenu, her son Tijani Onwenu marked the anniversary with a simple post on his Instagram page: “A year ago today, RIP mum” .
Onyeka Onwenu, affectionately known as the Elegant Stallion, passed away on July 30, 2024, following a live performance at a birthday celebration in Lagos.
She was rushed to Reddington Hospital but tragically could not be saved.
She is remembered today and always will be, for her inspirational songs.
Her memory is kept alive in her children and everyone she has inspired.
