Gospel singer Yinka Alaseyori has become the subject of fresh online discussions after a video of her dancing with top political figures surfaced on social media.

In the viral clip, the singer was seen in high spirits as she danced alongside Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other notable government officials.

The video quickly spread online, drawing mixed reactions from Nigerians who expressed both support and criticism.

The development comes shortly after Alaseyori faced backlash over her comments regarding the recent abduction in Oyo State involving schoolchildren and teachers.

Reports indicated that the gospel artist addressed the incident during a live Instagram session on Monday, June 1, 2026, where she spoke about rising insecurity in parts of the country.

Her remarks followed public anger over the kidnapping of 47 pupils and seven teachers from a school in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State on May 15.

While many Nigerians continued to call for stronger government action, Alaseyori urged citizens to also consider the power of prayer in addressing the crisis.

She suggested that security personnel may be putting in efforts but could still face unseen challenges during operations.

Defending her position, she said the President and security agencies should not be accused of inaction.

According to her: “We need to pray. You can’t say the President and our armed forces are not working, they’re working.

They might have sent security agents to the forest and something will just cover their eyes and won’t allow them see the terrorist, that’s where prayers come in.”
