The academy operates from the Kenya Academy of Sports location in Kasarani district of Nairobi where it provides programs to support youth motorsport development.

The academy exists to preserve Kenya’s motorsports tradition especially the Safari Rally while creating future champions of the sport.

The academy uses professionalism combined with equity alongside integrity and excellence to deliver enjoyable practical training.

The launch gathered World Rally champions Ott Tänak and Petter Solberg who taught aspiring Kenyan drivers.

The Kenyan government expressed its backing for Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) to develop its affordable Cross Car Project.

Through this initiative the cost reduction efforts combine with local innovation development and deliver technical training skills to Kenyan youth.

President William Ruto declared that his government would provide free design blueprints from the FIA as part of its strategy to expand motorsports opportunities specifically for young Kenyan competitors.

The government has set plans to join forces with The Technical and Vocational Training Authority (TVETA) for developing cross cars locally.

Through the World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally project the leading rally team Toyota Gazoo Racing will train both Kenyan drivers and mechanics to develop national motorsport expertise.

These initiatives belong to Kenya’s overall plan to build its status as a motorsport center by using its traditional roots while pursuing lasting growth for the motorsports industry.

Through investments focused on infrastructure development along with youth initiatives Kenya works toward raising its position as a motorsports hub and creating career opportunities for its youth.
