The National Investment Commission of Ethiopia guides COMESA membership to support more international business investment. The economic union COMESA maintains control over 21 nations that facilitate transactions exceeding $383 billion and manage more than 640 million people while generating $1 trillion GDP. The vast market potential enables business organizations along with financial investors to gain substantial advantages.

Ethiopian investment holds a strategic position because it gives sole market access to 21 COMESA member states and lets businesses enter all of Africa through Ethiopian borders. Membership in COMESA establishes Ethiopia as the preferred location for trade activities and investment across Eastern and Southern Africa because it reveals new customer bases and expanded market distribution opportunities.

The EIC serves as an investment advisory organization which helps businesses access the vast business opportunities throughout this market region. Ethiopia upholds its position as an attractive COMESA member by continually welcoming financial investments that capitalize on its advancing economic expansion and extensive regional market system.

The strategic location and COMESA membership of Ethiopia provides specific advantages to investors who select this country for their operations.

The duty-free and quota-free provisions under market competitiveness enable free movement of goods and services between member countries thus reducing trade restrictions.

The Ethiopian government gives investors multiple benefits including tax relief and customs exemption together with capital assurance to set up successful operations.
