Ghanaian artiste Stonebwoy acknowledged he wouldn’t win Artiste of the Year, says Bulldog, highlighting the artist’s spiritual insight and PR strategies
Ghanaian artiste manager Bulldog has revealed that Stonebwoy was aware he wouldn’t clinch the Artiste of the Year award at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
Speaking on Accra-based United Television, Bulldog emphasized Stonebwoy’s spiritual nature, suggesting the artist sensed the outcome beforehand.
Despite this intuition, Stonebwoy’s public relations team continued to promote his candidacy to maintain competitive momentum.
“Stonebwoy is a spiritual person, so he knew this year wasn’t his year,” Bulldog stated. “Maybe it was his PR who gave him hope that he would win, but the Stonebwoy I know knew he would not win.”
The Artiste of the Year accolade was ultimately awarded to King Promise, marking a significant achievement in his musical career.
Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, is a renowned Ghanaian musician known for his contributions to Afropop, dancehall, and reggae genres.
He has previously secured the Artiste of the Year title in 2015 and 2024, solidifying his status in the Ghanaian music industry.
The recent TGMA outcomes have sparked discussions among fans and industry stakeholders regarding award predictions and the influence of promotional strategies on public perception
