Ghanaian dancehall superstar Shatta Wale has reportedly lost a major $2 million distribution deal for his Voice of the Crown EP due to damaging online speculation, confirmed by his public relations officer, Sammy Flex.
According to Sammy Flex, the fallout was spurred not by any official statement or legal ruling but by the negative buzz circulating online:
“Now these reports circulating online are disturbing business. After this $2 million distribution deal… I am getting worried, chale,” he lamented.

This situation stems from a broader controversy involving the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO); the agency, in collaboration with the FBI, recently carried out a raid at Shatta Wale’s residence.
During the raid, his Lamborghini was seized amid allegations that it was tied to fraudulent activity linked to a U.S.-based case.
Despite the financial and promotional setback, Shatta Wale remains undeterred. The Voice of the Crown EP is still on track for release with the artist encouraging fans to stay strong and keep faith.
