Major African Payment Giants Join Forces: Network International and GIM-UEMOA Partner to Transform West African Digital Payments

Network International established a significant partnership with GIM-UEMOA to transform West African financial services as the payment solutions provider continues serving the Middle East and Africa.

The strategic partnership serves as an important advancement for regional financial technology since both organizations fuse their capabilities to deploy the innovative GIM-Pay framework.

The upcoming advanced digital payment solutions through this initiative will provide services for diverse business and consumer requirements within the WAEMU region.

Dr. Reda Helal stressed the groundbreaking significance of this partnership as Managing Director and Co-Head of Processing for Africa at Network International during an interview.

We integrate Network International technology with GIM-UEMOA regional experience to establish innovative payment solutions which will boost economic development across the entire region.

Dr Redal

The new alliance directly helps GIM-UEMOA’s affiliated member banks to improve their service functions. Member banks of GIM-UEMOA through this partnership will obtain top digital payment solutions which enable better customer service delivery and advance the financial inclusion goals of West Africa.

The organization aims to develop payment systems which combine security and market-aligned accessibility and operational efficiency for West African requirements.

The Managing Director of GIM-UEMOA Minayegnan Coulibaly expressed positive sentiments about the collaboration because “we are bringing advanced digital payment technology to West Africa’s banking sector through our joint infrastructure and solutions with Network International.”

The partnership between Network International and its financial institution partners will dramatically boost the operational strength of regional banking systems throughout our area.

Digital transformation of Africa’s financial sector provides the ideal context for this partnership at present. Through their combined expertise Network International can speed up West African adoption of modern financial services by joining forces with GIM-UEMOA in regional markets.

Such a strategic partnership demonstrates Africa’s need for growing multijurisdictional cooperation to progress financial technology innovations. The GIM-Pay framework implementation between these organizations should bring major benefits to payment systems modernization and financial inclusion growth throughout the WAEMU region.
