Popular social media critic and internet personality Daniel Regha has slammed the Ooni of Ife for entertaining the disgraced actor, Baba Ijesha, and his wife.
Magazine Afrique earlier reported that the couple had visited the Monarch, who honoured them with a royal welcome and fatherly love.
The Ooni blessed them with luxurious gifts, a brand-new car and a chieftaincy title.
According to Baba Ijesha, he was bestowed with the title, “Baba Awada Konge Oduwa, Ile Ife, Ile Oodua”.
On his Twitter page, Regha expressed disappointment in the monarch for hosting and honouring him with gifts and a chieftaincy title.
Daniel said this is what is wrong with society, as we love rewarding bad behaviour.
“The Ooni of Ife hosting and honouring someone like Baba Ijesha with a chieftaincy title plus gifts despite being a convicted pedophīle, is exactly what is wrong with society today. We keep rewarding bad behaviour”.
