Nigeria pharmaceutical industry is poised for significant growth as the Federal Government announces the establishment of the Empower Academy Nigeria.

This specialized training hub aims to enhance local pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing capabilities.

Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Pate, unveiled the initiative on Sunday.

The academy is part of Nigeria’s broader healthcare industrialization agenda under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership.

This move is expected to reduce dependency on imported drugs and strengthen the nation’s hBy focusing on workforce development.

The establishment of the academy aligns with global trends emphasizing the importance of local drug production, especially in the wake of supply chain disruptions experienced during recent global health crises.

By investing in local manufacturing and training, Nigeria aims to ensure a more resilient and self-sufficient healthcare system.
