Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho completed medical tests successfully before beginning his loan period at Middlesbrough while transferring from Sevilla. Iheanacho completes his medical examination at Middlesbrough as the team has agreed to purchase his contract permanently upon the season’s conclusion.

Middlesbrough displays their promotional ambitions through this major move as they occupy the seventh position in the Championship with their 44 points from their 29 matches. The club’s promotion charge got significant momentum through Iheanacho’s arrival as the striker played a part in Leicester City’s 2021 FA Cup triumph in English football.

The deal for Middlesbrough to acquire Iheanacho involves them taking over most of his wage costs by paying €2 million (equivalent to N3 billion) to finalize his transfer. Iheanacho chose to join Middlesbrough after rejecting offers from European clubs such as PAOK and Panathinaikos and Venezia in addition to Greek and Italian side suitors.

Sevilla provided Iheanacho permission to miss his Sunday training session so he could conduct medical tests for his prospective move to the Riverside Stadium. The Spanish club approved of the transfer move because all parties in the deal shared a clear understanding of the agreement.

The Middlesbrough team now has a vital new player under manager Michael Carrick as they fight for promotion in the Championship season’s final stretch. The Nigerian player’s history of scoring goals together with his Premier League expertise makes him a key asset for Middlesbrough as they chase promotion since they now occupy positions outside the playoffs.

The striker brings proven English football credentials along with new international experience to Middlesbrough making him their perfect choice to lead their attacking formation. His experience in English football standards indicates he would be ready for instant success in the Championship because his technical capabilities and goal-scoring abilities would determine matches during tight games.

Fans of Middlesbrough anticipate the official announcement of their new signing along with observing how soon Iheanacho will become a part of the team and begin helping them advance to the Premier League. The club shows their dedication to Premier League return by making a big move for this top-quality player which expects immediate official confirmation of the transaction.
