Nigerian singer Davido Adeleke found himself in a social media exchange with some X users following his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke’s, decision to switch political parties.

The Osun State governor recently left the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to join the Accord Party, prompting reactions online, including from Davido.

The exchange was triggered by his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke’s political party switch.

Governor Ademola Adeleke transitioned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the Accord Party.

One user, Akin Akinwale, commented on the move, noting that the APC had prevented Adeleke from joining their party.

He described the moment as historic and questioned whether the governor could secure a second term by defeating the APC.

Another fan, Wewe Adefisayo, jokingly suggested that if the APC won in Osun, Davido might have to compose a song for them.

Feeling drawn into the debate, Davido replied that he and his uncle would rather focus on their multimillion-dollar business instead.

However, X user Mr. Sam appeared unimpressed with Davido’s reply, telling him to “go sit down on the ground.”

Davido fired back, saying he wasn’t sitting but “in the air,” revealing he was aboard a Global 7500 jet valued at roughly $75 million.

Fans praised Davido’s witty comeback, highlighting his earlier prediction that many would “collect” this year.

They applauded his sharp response and criticized Mr. Sam for inserting himself into a conversation that wasn’t meant for him.
