PE Energy Limited presented its innovative platform to address Nigerian gas flaring problems at a company event on February 4, 2025.

The Multiphase Pump and Systems solution made its introduction at a Lagos seminar named “Eliminating Gas Flaring and Reducing CAPEX in Production Fields; A Sustainable Approach.” The seminar took place through a joint organization between PE Energy Limited and German industrial leader ITT Bornemann GmbH.

Dr. Daere Akobo stressed at the seminar how the event would bring this innovative technology to oil and gas exploration enterprises. The Multiphase Pump and Systems serves as an effective solution because it lowers carbon and methane emissions and boosts operational performance while supporting worldwide net-zero emission initiatives. Dr. Akobo declared that implementing this technology within production zones would create an environmentally sustainable atmosphere which enhances community welfare while supporting government methane reduction strategies thus reducing overall production expenditures. citeturn0search0

Gas flaring operates as a significant environmental problem throughout Nigeria which creates atmosphere contamination that endangers the wellness of residents. The National Gas Policy 2020 established mechanisms that would transform gas flaring into gas capture and commercialization to promote sustainable practices in the energy sector. Dr. Both past and present administrations received praise from Akobo for their work in this area as he stressed the need for stakeholders to activate technologies that harmonize with established policies.

During the discussion Mr. Jeroen Olde Monnickhoff explained how Multiphase Pump and Systems work as the Global Product Manager for Oil & Gas at ITT Bornemann GmbH. Mr. Jeroen Olde Monnickhoff clarified that this technology captures unflared gas before processing it to reach production facilities.

The system operation reduces both routine flaring operations and lowers air pressure which yields higher oil output. Mr. Monnickhoff observed that the deployment of this technology has achieved significant market success throughout different locations worldwide by delivering concrete outcomes to the oil and gas sector. Companies in the oil and gas industry must implement this solution because its advantages exceed both regulatory fines and health risks caused by gas flaring.

The Multiphase Pump and Systems technology now enables Nigeria to advance its environmental protection initiatives for oil production activities. The country implements these innovative solutions to increase its oil production efficiency within global environmental standards.

PE Energy Limited leads the market in sustainable energy solutions through its dedication to Nigerian oil and gas industry operational excellence and environmental stewardship.
