Rwanda Foreign Minister Olivier Nduhungirehe begins official visit to Pakistan, marking a significant step in enhancing bilateral relations.
Ambassador Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe conducted his arrival to Islamabad on April 20, 2025 through meetings with Pakistan’s Director General for Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Rwandan High Commissioner alongside senior officials.
Ambassador Nduhungirehe will engage in dialogues across his two-day trip with Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar who serves both as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan.
During his visit Ambassador Nduhungirehe plans to meet with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Chairman of the Senate and various essential federal ministers.
A notable event of the visit includes the Rwandan High Commission’s official opening ceremony in Islamabad which strengthens diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Rwanda.
The Rwandan Foreign Minister plans to connect with Pakistan’s business community members to identify ways for developing economic and trade partnerships.
This visit implements the “Engage Africa” policy of Pakistan to develop stronger diplomatic relationships with African nations.
Rwanda demonstrates its dedication to establishing wider international relationships especially within South Asian territories.
The talks will focus on multiple fields of mutual interest such as trade, investment, education and technology to establish stronger collaborative ties between Rwanda and Pakistan.
