TikTok today announced the launch of its artist analytics platform, TikTok for Artists, in Ghana, expanding its global rollout to support music creators in the region.
First introduced earlier this year, the platform is now accessible to Ghanaian artists with certified TikTok Artist accounts.
The platform offers daily-updated dashboards with deep performance metrics, including:
- Song performance (views, posts, creator engagements)
- Post metrics (likes, views, comments, shares, completion rates)
- Follower insights (demographics by age, gender, language)
- Toolkits and guides to maximize features
- A Pre-Release tool that enables artists to launch album campaigns and let fans pre-save music directly to Spotify or Apple Music.
Toyin Mustapha, Head of Music Partnerships for UK, Ireland, and Sub-Saharan Africa at TikTok, hailed Ghana as a key music discovery hub. She stated that this launch empowers creators and their teams with “powerful, transparent data” to grow their careers both locally and internationally.
This expansion underscores TikTok’s increasing investment in Africa’s music industry. Ghanaian artists can now provide their managers and labels with vital insights to design effective promotional strategies, enhancing both engagement and career sustainability.
With the Pre-Release tool, musicians can generate early interest and streamline launches. This rollout brings the global platform closer to Ghana’s music scene, offering parity with artists in other parts of the world.
