University of Zimbabwe lecturers challenge police over protest crackdown, as they approach the High Court to seek an interdict against the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP).

The legal case battles police interference during peaceful student demonstrations at universities after they suppressed student protests.

According to the lecturers the police infringed upon fundamental constitutional rights while handling peaceful protests.
