In a candid interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, APC chieftain and former presidential aspirant Adamu Garba issued a stark warning to his party following the resignation of former national chairman Abdullahi Ganduje.

He accused the emerging African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition of being opportunistic, “vultures ready to feed on the APC” and hoping for the party’s downfall, particularly in light of Ganduje’s departure

Garba lamented that “sycophants around President Tinubu” are misleading him by claiming everything is fine, when in reality, internal instability and defections in northern strongholds paint a different picture.

He noted a significant exodus of APC and PDP members from the North to the ADC, which he described as “alarming” and a critical signal ahead of the 2027 elections.

Highlighting the vacuum left by the late Muhammadu Buhari, Garba reminded listeners that the APC’s overwhelming 12 million northern votes in prior elections dropped to just 5.5 million by 2023.

He warned this trend will continue unless the party rebuilds with genuine, criticism-ready leadership
Garba urged the APC to be “sincere with ourselves” and elect leaders who can humbly accept facts, rather than flatter the president.
