Nigerian singer-songwriter, Ruger has sparked buzz on social media after sharing a controversial opinion on women who undergo Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery.

In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Ruger wrote that whenever he sees a woman with a BBL, he immediately assumes she has bad character.

“When I see girl with BBL I dey straight up think say dem get bad character. Be like the procedure dey come with small attitude and ogba, he said.”

The comment quickly went viral, sparking intense debate across social media.

Many users criticized him for making an unnecessary remark, calling it insensitive and reflective of deeper societal biases against women who choose to enhance their bodies.

A commentator wrote, “Ruger, this one no follow at all. Keep your preference without insulting others.”

Another said, “BBL or not, attitude is individual. Stop generalising women!”

The conversation has since expanded into a wider discussion about body autonomy, misogyny, and the policing of women’s choices in the entertainment industry.

While Ruger has not offered further clarification, his post continues to generate heated discussions online, with many Nigerians questioning why women’s bodies remain a constant target for public judgment.
