A Fulani ex-Muslim man, Musa Bello Musa, has sparked reactions after sharing an emotional story behind his conversion to Christianity, a decision that not only put his life at risk but also tore his family apart.

In a now-circulating confession on X (formerly Twitter), he has sparked widespread discussion due to his raw honesty and the extraordinary circumstances that led to his transformation.”

Musa, who was born and raised in Kaduna State, grew up in a strongly Islamic household.

According to Musa, questioning the religion was never an option.

But everything changed when he embarked on what he called a detailed “conversion by research.”

He began comparing the Bible and the Qur’an, and during this process, Qur’an 46:9 reportedly troubled him deeply.

In the verse, Prophet Muhammad is quoted as saying he does not know what will happen to him or his followers.

“That was the moment Islam became suspicious to me. How can I follow someone who doesn’t know where he’s going? Musa recalled.”

He turned to the Bible, where the words of Jesus assuring His followers of a place in His Father’s house struck him with peace and certainty.

The contrast, he said, opened his heart to Christianity.

“My father also felt I had brought shame to the family.

He beat my mother and threw her out of the house, threatening to kill her if she didn’t find me. I had to run for my life.

”Musa fled to save his life, today, he says their ministry has helped more than 2,000 Fulani people convert to Christianity.

Social media users have shared mixed but emotional reactions to Musa’s testimony:

A commentator wrote,

“This man is brave. Choosing faith over fear is not easy.”

Another said, “The way he compared both holy books shows deep research. Very eye-opening.”

Others praised him for standing firm, while some expressed concern about the risks associated with such a testimony.

Musa’s journey from growing up in a traditional Fulani Muslim family to boldly embracing Christianity continues to stir conversation across social platforms.
