Nollywood actor Joseph Momodu has officially joined the United States (U.S) Army after successfully completing Basic Combat Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Sharing the milestone on his Instagram page, the actor described the achievement as deeply personal, saying it allowed him to continue the legacy of his late father, who served in the Nigerian Police Force before his passing.

“On April 12, 2026, I honored my late father in a historic way. Twenty years after his passing, I picked up the baton where he left off in the Nigerian Police Force and carried it forward by getting enlisted into the United States Army,” he wrote.

Joseph Momodu revealed that he is now officially Specialist (SPC) J.A. Momodu, serving with the 1st Platoon, Charlie Company, 3-10, 3rd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment.

Expressing gratitude, he thanked God for helping him pass the ASVAB examination on his first attempt and successfully complete Basic Combat Training.
