I want to use this opportunity to appreciate our readers and followers who have been reading and sharing Better Nigeria Is Possible for the past 14 days. Even though we do not have stable electricity supply, our roads are begging for attention and public health centres in most LGAs are locked , one thing is very certain: we have hope for a better tomorrow.
So, we are on the move.
14-Day Journey So Far:
14 days ago we started with Unity — Nigeria’s strength in diversity.
Day 2 — Duty & FAAC: How our money is shared — Federal 52.68%, States 26.72%, LGs 20.60% plus 13% derivation to oil states (Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo, Rivers). VAT sharing — NEW from January 2026: FG 10%, States 55%, LGs 35% — old was 15/50/35. Since subsidy removal, FAAC has exploded — from N629bn in March 2023 to over N2trillion monthly now, and states receipts more than doubled from N4.18tn in 2023 to N8.93tn in 2025. And we have asked the states — where is the money?
Day 3 Law and Order, Day 4 Food Security, Day 5 Power, Day 6 Jobs, Day 7 Education, Day 8 Health, Day 9 Infrastructure, Day 10 Youth — median age 18.1, 70% under 30, Day 11 Tech — 55% online, Day 12 Green — 1.4M hectares lost, Day 13 Leadership — only 22% trust government.
We now know more than before. Knowledge is not arrival, but a catalyst. Better Nigeria will not come by posts alone. It will come when knowledge is shared and we begin to hold our leaders accountable.
We should play our own roles in asking questions and getting more people to join this movement in the best way we can — share, engage, make suggestions, repost and tag as many people as possible.
We have 16 more days to go. The best is yet to come — from Day 15 we enter Solutions to Action.
Your Task Today: Encourage at least 3 people to join this movement. Forward Day 1-14 to them and ask them to look forward to 16 more editions starting tomorrow. This movement needs more legs.
We move.
