The planned initiative will improve power reliability across nine million houses and establish connections between renewable energy systems into the national power network.
The water and sanitation sector receives AFD financing amounting to €68 million together with a €2 million grant to construct a new wastewater treatment plant in East Alexandria.
The new wastewater treatment facility will provide services to 1.5 million people during the upcoming years as the region experiences population growth.
The agreements contain €70 million financing alongside an €800,000 grant which supports the development of the railway project between Rubiki–10th of Ramadan–Belbeis.
The goal of this initiative is to develop better freight connections between dry ports and seaports so costs decrease and industries develop stronger.
