In a landmark initiative to promote digital literacy and inclusion, the Gender Education, Engagement, Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Program (G4EP) has rolled out the RISE Project; Renewed Hope for Inclusion, Support, and Empowerment, targeted at empowering young girls across Nigeria through creative digital skills training.
Starting September 8, 2025, the program will offer free training in high-demand fields: photography, web design, cinematography, and graphic design.
With no financial barrier to entry, G4EP aims to ensure equitable access for girls regardless of socio-economic background.
According to Dr. Mrs. Judith Mayen Ogbara, Chairperson of G4EP, the RISE Project aligns seamlessly with the federal government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, offering “pathways for the girl child to rise above limitations” and compete globally in technology, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
The initiative responds directly to persistent gender disparities in tech and media industries. G4EP emphasizes the importance of digital literacy not just for representation, but for cultivating female storytellers, entrepreneurs, and innovators who can drive societal transformation.
Interested applicants can register via the official G4EP training portal. Selected participants will gain not only hands-on digital skills but also receive mentorship and access to professional-standard resources throughout the program
